norman thomas hs dominates manhattan virtual enterprise business plan competition 2009

On Friday, December 11, 2009, three Virtual Enterprise (VE) firms from Norman Thomas High School competed in the Twelfth Annual Virtual Enterprise Manhattan Business Plan Competition.  The Business Plan Competition is the centerpiece event for the VE program.  It is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills, abilities and knowledge about business, financial practices, global economic conditions and the industry that their virtual business represents through written business plans and oral presentations.  Sixteen teams from ten schools competed in this event.  Two of our teams, Essence Hotel and A.C.T. Professional Services, won First and Second Place, respectively.  Both teams have qualified for the city finals which will take place on January 8, 2010 at Deloitte & Touche.
