Norman Thomas H. S.
It is my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to our website. The purpose of this site is to provide you with useful information about our school and to enhance the support services we provide to our educators, students and parents. Our school community will be able to log on and get the necessary information to make good educational decisions.

Our school is an active partnership of students, parents, educators, staff, and community. We are committed to develop our students as bilingual learners with a self-critical attitude to learning, and to challenge them to fulfill their intellectual, emotional and aesthetic potential. Our instructional vision is deeply committed to the infinite possibilities of information technology as a teaching and learning tool, to deliver and enhance our students to become contributing, responsible citizens of a rapidly evolving, diverse, wider world. Our mission will be achieved in a learner-centered, nurturing and safe environment for both students and educators, designed to empower students with the ability and desire to thrive as life-long learners, to embrace respect for equity and justice and appreciation for multi-culturalism and diversity. It is my mission to see that the mission of our school is carried out.

In order to meet the need of our students, we need to work together to improve student attendance and achievement. As we move towards the creation of small learning communities based on our four business majors, students will reap the benefits of a more personalized education. Dedicated staff will know students better and students and parents will know who to go to if there is a problem. In the mean time, students need to complete course requirements and make progress towards graduation.

As the instructional leader, I hope to provide parents and students with the support and guidance needed to meet with success in the years ahead. Working together, I am confident that we will realize our goal.

I look forward to the next phase of education at Norman Thomas High School.
